Real Ale or decent beers?

Hi,

I have friends currently visiting us, and one wants to visit a real English pub, with a good selection of real Ale or decent beers. He brews his own so seems to know his stuff.

Any ideas where we could go for Sunday lunch (must allow kids). Would ideally like to stay local, but could take a bus somewhere together.

thats where we ended up going. Mostly because they had a garden and we could watch the Murray final. Thanks for everyones suggestions, will try and do a pub crawl without the kids next time he visits.
