Just wondered who else has been into Mezzo since it re-opened?
it was a favourite of ours before it closed, as compared with other Turkish-style places it was small, cosy and relatively darkly-lit.
But it's a lot bigger now, with uniform rows of seats and brighter lighting
it also has a catch-all menu to satisfy the non-Turkish lunchtime crowd as well as the tranditioanl Turkish menu
We did go in there for lunch last week and it was good food, the people were friendly and all was ok.
i was going to have the English brekky but at £9.50 i have to say i baulked - i'm sure it's 2-3 quid cheaper in N4 Cafe or the one at the Manor House gates.
We'll give it another go for sure, maybe one evening but i wonder how much more demand there is for a place like this and whether it will work.

We've been. Service was good, and it’s very clean, I agree some things on there seemed pricy. We had a crepe which was not a well-cooked crepe but well presented and generously sauced. If it’s a new chef they’ll get into their stride.
Menu’s a bit big I think they should probably focus a bit more. Actually I think there is a space on the Lanes for a general cafe, god I miss Lemon. I’m not certain we’ll go back but it’s a good spot for a panini if you want a lunch.
There’s a HUGE shisha winter garden out back, it looks pretty inviting although it’s not my thing. Looks like Mezzo are trying to be both cafe and shisha joint - not sure if that’ll work but good luck to them.
I'd agree that they have done a good job refurbishing the place. Looks quite inviting, although it would take more than a crepe/panini to get me to trundle down the road. I may be in the minority though - I never got into the s**t sandwich shop culture in the UK.
The shisha thing is quite peculiar... In my 12+ years in London I never encountered it outside Edgware road. Clearly a few places on Green Lanes offer shisha so there must be demand. The shisha place on Wightman road is a particularly curious specimen - seems to specialise in shisha, mocktails and Premier League football.
17-19 Grand Parade, Green Lanes - between Rutland Gdns and Stanhope Gdns
I liked the cosy place it was before, and the comfy sitting on the floor area upstairs. Not sure another standard looking restaurant will take my fancy
i think they would have been a lot busier before if their entrance door had been less cluttered and people could actually see in. But anyways hope they do well but doesn’t sound my kind of prices
