Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Dear All,

What kind of breakfast was available in a cafe or restaurant during rationing (1940)?  Hugh mentioned sometime ago a cafe called Chas (Charles) DuFaur Cafe in Myddleton Road the war.

Thank you everyone for your replies.

There may be an answer in the Rationing section of the BBC People's War archive https://www.bbc.co.uk/history/ww2peopleswar/categories/c1168/

Julia — Fascinated by your research here into wartime catering, cafes, etc. I think you said you’re writing a book, so hope it’s coming along well; when will we be able to buy it?
