We're in the market for a new cooker. We want something that's wider than normal (normal being 55 or 60cm), but the maximum width we have to play with is 80cm. We want a freestanding range style thing, not an integrated separate hob and oven. UK manufacturers stopped making 70 and 80cm wide cookers about 10 years ago, most are now 90cm or wider. The only one we've found available in the UK from the "normal" shops (pretty exhaustive online search) is by Smeg and we don't like it. We've found two European makers (Lacanche from France and Steel Cuisine from Italy) that make them, but they're quite pricey. It seems that 30" wide cookers (76cm in new money) are pretty normal in the US - does anyone either know of a US cooker shop in the UK or have any other ideas about where we could get something from? Thanks

We're also really happy with our Rangemaster... so if you can gouge out any extra space, I'd say get one!
