Hello Frances. It's very difficult, and usually horrendously expensive, to find anyone to repair electronic equipment. What seems to be wrong with it ? Is it digital, or just MW / LW ?

Hi John
Its a portable digital one Model RD-11 its working BUT the Volume control is not working properly ie takes a lot of "twiddling" to get the right amount of sound

OK I have a RD 10. I'll have a look at it this evening and see how easy it will be to get at the volume control.

Hi John D
Very belated thanks(my computer has been down) for your help re repairs to my Roberts Radio.
I have contacted the spares dept and it will cost £67 to repair inc spares BUT they are in Isleworth Middx so I have to decide whether its worth the journey OR buy a new one!!

There's a firm called Zapp's (I believe) on Hermitage Road who offer Radio & TV repairs. They might be able to help. It's in the block of industrial buildings a bit further on from Vale Terrace on LH side, going from Green Lanes. Sorry haven't got the number.
