Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi,

I have had a Sceneca plum tree for around four years now. The first year it gave amazing fruit; abundant and juicy. The following years the fruit start to crack a while before they are ripen and gradually they shrivel and rot. I have done some research on the internet and the symptoms all point at brown rot or some sort of fungal infection. I have tried a few products with no joy.

I was wondering if anyone has ever had a similar experience with a plum tree and is there something that could be done to save this tree or should I just pull it out and plant a new one.

Thanks for your advice in advance.

This could your answer regular watering causes fruit split. Whden the fruit is exposed, it starts to rot.
