From the architect's images, it appears that some fairly savage alterations are being proposed for the Queen's Head during its conversion to flats. These seem to include demolishing a third of the current building and the tower on the building's corner.
I don't object to it being used as flats, but this looks to me like a shoddy unsympathetic conversion. I posted on this a few days back in Matt's Queen's Head group but the post hasn't really been picked up. That's either because I'm the only one who gives a damn [which is a shame.....but I can live with it :o) ] or it's because people have missed it. With a hope that it's the latter, I'm reposting here to draw folks attention to it.
If you'd like to read more, comment on HoL or comment formally on the planning application (till 25th of this month, I think), please visit the original discussion. Surely this building is worth 5 or 10 minutes to try and save.
