Why do you say the St Ann's election was 'rigged'?

Steve, details of rigging of St Ann's by Nora, her husband and the council leader in 2013 here.

Steve, (http://www.harringayonline.com/xn/detail/844301:Comment:1053595)
about St Ann's, follow John McMullan's links.

70 Labour council chiefs have hit back against the NEC's undemocratic meddling in Haringey affairs:

Particularly amusing to see Corbyn called 'uncomradely.' Kind of spot on. It's quite obvious that under his 'comradely, friendly' exterior there is an undercurrent of an ignorant bloody-mindedness that's quite scary.

It’s to the tories political advantage to have the council branded a momentum council and then take it into central control and say “look at what happens when Corbyn pals get in”

If that happens prepare for A LOT of very tall buildings. I sadly expect the new council to be naive enough to hand the excise to the tories to take control.

What Tories? Haringey has been a Labour council since its creation except for 3 years in the 1960s, and stands zero chance of becoming a Tory borough at the next election, and most probably the one after, and the one after. No matter what damage a left leaning anti-housing council does, Haringey wont swing Tory. As for your fear of very tall buildings - one needs tall buildings if one has to create more homes on a limited supply of land.

The government.

Stick the council in special measures and have it run by Whitehall. Which is what I expect them to do if a new council tries to back out of a contract that has been legally signed and will cost the council many many millions of pounds to do so.

DTW - If you are seriously interested in the issues, rather than scoring points, then can I suggest you read-up on the "Joint Vehicles" set up by Croydon and by Tonbridge Wells - which did indeed lead to councils having to pay large sums in order to back out of contracts.

The obvious moral to be drawn in this Kober fiasco is that she and her right wing allies -should not be entering into any legal agreements like the HDV which will cost the council taxpayers  more as a consequence. Nor should Haringey be planning to drive the HDV through at all since currently this process has waste probably more than £2m on lawyers and consultants.

Well, well. After getting enough multiple gullible media outlets to broadcast her impassioned pleas as loyal Labour party activist in Haringey, La Mulready has announced her resignation ... quelle surprise

I wish we could all get the money back from fighting the Harassment Notice she and her husband convinced the police to issue me with 4 years ago. She is the biggest lying fantasist I've ever met. I was stupid to think her career in politics was over once she invoked the police.

Dear Nora,

I've missed Haringey's public stoning for adultery, public hanging of gays, forcible headscarfing etc. Where did it all happen? Duckett's Common or Finsbury Park?  Seems LBH's information services could do with a bit more er momentum.

An old admirer - but stick to the fiddle.

I think Nora's had her 15 minutes of fame
