Just finished on BBC 4 but presumably available on catchup - interesting documentary on the development of London from its medieval villages. Lots of street scenes in Harringay, Hornsey and Crouch End ( where, it seems, the sun always shines ).
St Mary Tower, The Ladder and Hornsey Town Hall shown.

One point that struck me was that he said the housing in Harringay was denser and of relatively shoddy construction, fit for the lower classes, whereas that in Hornsey, Crouch End and of course Muswell Hill was better, and consequently more expensive, aimed at the better off.
But we all knew that, didn't we ?
