Bit of a long shot, but I wonder if anyone has a pressure washer they'd be willing to lend me for an hour (or so) on Saturday?

Yes! We have one you could borrow. I need to go out at about 10:30am on Sat (I'm on the ladder but private message me for full address) so if you could pick it up before that I'd be happy to lend it. I presume you already have a hose?
