Power seems to be out more or less from Cissbury Road to Seven Sisters Road, and has been for about half an hour now. St Ann's Library is unaffected (I'm using their wifi) so I assume houses north of St Ann's Road are okay. Not sure whether it's worth reporting. The phone mast must be out too as my mobile is telling me I can't send messages currently.

Panic over, not that there was a panic - power is back on!
Yeah it was off for about 1 hour. Also affected here, north of St Ann's road. Maybe the library has a special generator!
Yeh we were driving and there was several near crashes under the bridge where the high road meets st anne's road as all the traffic lights were out. At a crossroads, that's not good !!! Strange,as we drove on, we found all the street lights were back on so it only affected a small section. Small piece of excitement in the area. ha ha!
I was slightly amazed at the reaction of a lot of people. We just got some candles out and carried on (gas) cooking, but when I looked there were lots of people outside their houses, hands on hips, wondering what was happening! A bloke I know who works for one of the Big Six reckons 'brownouts' will be a lot more common over the next couple of years as the grid is pretty much at capacity. Hopefully people are resourceful enough to deal with them... (and angry enough to demand better provision!) This, I imagine, was probably just a fault though.
