Potters Bar Garage (PB) Open-day 7th July 2012

Yesterday it was once again possible to ride a 'proper' 29 at the Potters Bar Garage Open Day. A reminder of the days (until 1968) when it was possible to ride a 29 all the way from Victoria Station to Potters Bar & South Mimms, Clare Hall Hospital via Harringay & Southgate.

The RTL seen here was one of nearly 5,000 RT type vehicles in the London Transport fleet. In service from 1939 until 1979 (the RTL Leyland engined version had all been withdrawn from service by 1968).
