Don't see any issue with postal voting - whatever makes people more likely to exercise their vote is good with me. And I'm sure that in the wake of a pandemic, there'll still be many that are more comfortable with a postal vote.

As a point of balance though, I requested my last vote to be made by proxy (as I was away), and despite delivering the proxy request to Haringey Council by hand, they claimed it was 'never received' and my proxy was turned away at the polls. So I could say that I don't trust proxy voting, but I don't really think this is an endemic issue.

Not that it's relevant, but since you mentioned him Bob, I'll be voting for Khan. His wannabe opposition Trump didn't much like postal voting either.

there is absolutely no issue in postal voting, in the UK (or anywhere in the western world), don't be taken in by the Trumpists rhetoric.

as for Khan benefiting from postal votes (i assume you're believing that will all be fraudulent) the most recent poll has him on 53% of the vote, so unless there is a massive shocker he will be emphatically returned as Mayor of our great City
