The KFH offices will be available for community use for the month of December.
Ideas currently on the table include a pop-up market for a few days and a pop-up cafe. I mentioned it to a local who might be interested in hosting a pop-up cinema.
It's a blank slate. We could make it something very special. So, any ideas / offers / Requests?

This isn't quite in the "something very special" league but how about a few hours one weekend have representatives from all the different community groups around here go there so people can find out what they do. So each group has desk or notice board or something with what they've been doing and plan to do in the future and how to get involved etc and someone to talk to, so people can wander about the room to see whats going on and have a quick chat. There must be lots of groups who could take part, all the different residents associations and friends groups etc, and a lot of locals don't even know they exist.
I think this is a great idea and something Haringey Rugby Club would be very interested in taking part in. Happy to discuss - I can be contacted at haringeyyouthrugby@gmail.com
Ok. Let me contact some groups i can think of to get a feel for if enough of them would participate to make it worthwhile. If anyone knows of any community group that might want to participate or that you'd like to see there please let me know here, or at ant.elder@gmail.com.
The ones i can think of initially are things Haringey Youth Rugby who've already replied here, the friends groups for the parks like Duckets Common, Fairland Park, Railway Fields and Finsbury Park, the GRA, LCSP, maybe GLSG, HFRA? There are a whole lot of RAs for Ladder roads but i can't see any contact info for them, does anyone know any?
Who else?
Publicity for Haringey Winter Night Shelter ?
Giving food and shelter to homeless over winter and helping them find permanent accommodation.
I can get name of organiser if you think it appropriate.
Sure, send me a contact. I don't know how many will fit or how many might want to come so if we get a rough idea of the possibles now then we can do any selection later when we find out how big the space is.
Ant -organiser of Night Shelter is Lia Leonis info@allpeopleallplaces.org
I am chair of Chestnuts Primary School PSA (Parent and School Association) and I have a meeting with some other local PSAs on Monday evening - I could see if we could do something together if that would be appropriate? I think we are all registered charities and all definitely experienced in organising fairs, stalls, cake sales, children's crafts etc etc.
How about contacting and involving Caris Haringey, based in St Anne's Road and works with homeless families in the Borough. Their website is here: http://www.carisharingey.org.uk/.
Also some of the local schools that run various community activities - such as South Haringey Junior School.
The Cooking Village would be interested in taking part in this - great idea - can contact me at allison@thecookingvillage.com could do a little food demo with children to encourage healthy eating
