I need to lop a branch that's broken and is overhanging my garden. I can't go up with a ladder and a handsaw, as due to the configuration of the tree I'd have to lean it against the branch that I want to chop, which would undoubtedly result in a Looney Tunes style denouement, a comedy bump on my head, and several small birds circling me and tweeting.
So, would anyone be able to lend me a pole saw, in order that I may prevent myself from the indignity of becoming a cartoon style cliche?
No rush for it, as it'll be something to do in the autumn, but thought I'd test the waters now.
thanks
Dave

Can't you ask the owner if they will let you over their side of the fence to do the work?
I could, but I'd still need a long handled pruning saw to reach it.
