Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Plumber/heating engineer required... and builder type job stuff recommendation

Hi everyone

I'm looking for a plumber/heating engineer to stick a timer into what is otherwise a pretty good boiler, so I've been told. The radiators in my home are of varying standards so they could do with a bit of an overhaul too...

I recently had some roof work done and found the roofer who did the job through what I feel is a really good website; endorsed by The Guardian newspaper... so it must be amazing ;-)

You put a job you want doing on the website and relevant tradesmen contact you via the website to arrange to do a quote if they want to. It's free and simple to stick up jobs you want doing. Added to which, customers rate the tradesmen, so the better the tradesman, the better the ratings. Cool, hey? I had one roofer quote me for a whole new roof for the price of a near third mortgage, then another who said I didn't need a new roof, (with new batons and felt), just repairs and guttering replacing... and some re-pointing where some rain's come through in the front room :-/ The first one quoted me £4,700 for doing repairs if I didn't want a new roof, the other quoted me £750 for pretty much the same, plus the repairs he's advised me on..., and his ratings are extensive and all good.

I've put my boilder and radiator job up on the ratedpeople website, but no one has got back to me on this one. I had a great response for the roof repairs...

Cheers,

Sarah :-)

There are a number of people you can find via the links on the Tradespeople group - have you tried them? Local people with local recommendations.
