Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Play to be staged free at St Ann's Library Hall before opening in Canary Wharf

A play that was first staged in May at the Roundhouse in Camden and will be going on to The Space Theatre in Canary Wharf is being staged for two free shows at St Ann's LIbrary Hall.

Developed with support from the Arts Council and Haringey Council, The Gambler addresses exclusion of individuals from the community as a result of addiction. It uses physical theatre to look at the life of a gambling addict as he tries to choose between the real world and his addiction.

Guillaume Pigé, founder of Theatre re who have developed the play explains:

We will focus on gambling as a metaphor for all addictions. Part of our development process involves opening a meaningful dialogue, through feedback sessions after regular showings, with members of the communitat St Ann's Library on October 25 and November 5. The price for your attendance will be a request to participate in a feedback session after the show.

The shows will take place on October 25 and November 8. Details below. We're told booking not required.
