Phone snatching - Be alert
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to remind everyone to be alert when standing or walking with your phone in your hands.
I waited for a bus at Manor House station yday evening (6pm ish) and 2 guys on a scooter drove by and snatched a girl's phone. She stood right next to me and it happened so fast. So be mindful when standing right next to the street or walking on the side walk.
This used to happen in Bermondsey. Here guys on bikes would wait near the tube station and look which phones ppl where using when coming out of the station. they then followed you on their bikes waiting for the right moment to cycle up behind you, snatch the phone and ride off.
last night was a harsh reminder to myself.

This happened to me some months back on the corner of Green Lanes & Beresford. I came on here to warn others and was promptly victim-blamed by one of the more obnoxious posters.
But then loads of other lovely people came onto the thread to tell him he was a jerk and how sorry they were that I had lost precious photos and audio-recordings.

The bus stops at Manor House are a known hot spot for phone snatching. That poor girl. Must've been quite scary. Thanks for the reminder.
