Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Just wanted to share that a man on a bike (didn't look like a teenager to me!) tried to grab my phone as I passed Willow Walk on West Green Road around 9am Friday morning. I have the world's heaviest phone case and think I must have pressed it to my ear so he failed to get it, thank goodness. I shouted an obscenity at him which I'm sure ruined his day.

Found a policeman round the corner who said I should report it online, told me he doesn't get his phone out on the High Road even in uniform!!

For some reason I'm more vigilant in the evenings so just a note to be cautious at all times.

There's a very big problem with moped muggers too - in Islington they had an awareness campaign at the Angel tube station advising people to be more aware of their surroundings when using expensive phones in public

I thought that phones were supposed to be useless if they were stolen. Is the method to break into it right away so you have to take one whilst it's in use?

Only useless if the legit owner has set up a password protection. Most people ( including me ) can't be bothered.
