PCN woes

Just got home from a weekend away to discover a parking fine on my car, for not clearly displaying a permit. Fair enough, except that it was carefully tucked under the windscreen wiper right next to the clearly displayed, in date residents permit. Anyone else suffered from the blind parking warden this weekend?

I thought all permits were now digital, ie no permit on show. Mine is. Do you have a permit that is an older one? Don't pay and show the council evidence of your in date permit.

We're on an estate, so still on paper ones. I've added a photo, just to show how utterly ridiculous this was. According to a neighbour this has happened to her a few times, and the guy just doesn't care whether there a permit or not if he's taken against you.
