Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Has anyone tried driving down Park Rd lately. Its an absolute nightmare. Someone said its because the back streets now have parking restrictions. Whatever the reason their are vans and cars parked on both sides of the road, especially around the garage and there is not room for buses and large vehicles to drive both ways. Sometimes the queues back up to the middle of crouch end. Goodness knows what it would be like on days when there is an event in Ally Pally.

Dont the department responsible for parking plans ever look at the bigger picture??

Their bigger picture is just different from ours. They think they can get rid of cars by making it dificult to drive and park.
They are right, it is working on this side of the tracks.

Dreadful to drive down. Even worse to walk down with children - no bollards, single file walking so if you meet a buggy coming the other way you take your life into your hands - traffic thundering past you.

And no, it seems no one responsible for anything related to parking, planning, traffic, schools or indeed anything ever looks at the bigger picture.  Wait until it all goes horribly wrong, then think of a way to fix it seems to be the motto!

Another Haringey success !!!!!!!   NOT
Park road has always been a nightmare. The recent CPZ is for two hours a day only (2-4 pm) and not during weekends -- I'd be surprised if Park Road's problems are related to the CPZ.

well it does seem  better in the morning than in the afternoon. I suppose once people realise that there are good parking areas along there they will use it more than the back roads.

why can't they just have a double yellow line down the whole of one side to stop buses and large vans having to weave in and out
