... can surely be closed to through traffic in the future, as it currently is during the bridge works. If the planners can deal with the re-routing of all those buses and taxi journeys away from Oxford Street for the pedestrianisation plans, it must be possible to do this for Wightman Road as well.
Living Wightman would do well to have a chat with the new Mayor's office.

No more immoral than riding a cycle over a pedestrian footbridge.
I disagree. Pollution kills.
None on the ladder do.
Our school, Chestnuts, doesn't have a car park but the teachers are allowed to buy permits for my CPZ. Most of them who I see parking here car share. The others either live close enough and and walk or cycle to school or they get public transport. I can't think of any local primary schools that have car parks, but I could be wrong.
I didn't realise there was a car park but from what I can see on Google maps it may have 50 spaces, a proportion of which will be disabled spaces. Not really huge in the grand scheme and I'm not aware of any other Council buildings that have any car parking facilities. So again we are talking about 50 car spaces for a workforce of a few thousand.
You'll probably find that a lot of people don't want to work in the borough in which they live, especially customer- facing people like housing officers, social workers, teachers etc. They don't want to have the opportunity of bumping into their clients when they're not at work. I think a lot of people commute in to Haringey from outer boroughs, just like people in Haringey commute further into London.
