Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi

I have about 300 bricks to clear. I think they are originals from when the house was built (Roseberry Gardens) Not sure if they are quality to use in a build or for a garden project. Some need cleaning up. I know I could probably sell per brick but would be delighted with someone picking them up and maybe a small donation.

There are 150 loose bricks stacked and probably the equivalent bagged up but I can’t guarantee numbers. Collector would need to bring bags / way to transport them out.

Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks!

Jane

Hi,

I think we'd be interested for our garden. We're just up the road so hopefully not too hard to transport!

Jo

Hi Jo,

It’s Jane, Evie’s mum from nursery. Feel free to come over and have a look. We’re in most of tomorrow though popping up to Downhills for the Clean Streets thing.

Or basically any evening and most days...

Jane

Awesome. I did wonder if it might be you. I'm not sure if we're round tomorrow, but will drop you a message!

I see that the bricks are marked CS. I'd imagine, given that John Hill was the builder of the Gardens and that he also owned the London Brick Company, the bricks would be LBC bricks. I'm sure that CS Bricks are every bit as good as LBC ones - just a passing point of interest.

Thanks Hugh - good to know for anyone interested. Good to have someone with some brick knowledge - I have none!

Little brick knowledge but plenty of local history knowledge!

Hi, I'm late to the party but are any of the bricks still available? I'm after some for a garden wall rebuild job. Thanks, Matt

Afraid not Matt

Ah well! Thank you anyway.
