I am starting an organic veg garden and am totally new to the idea. I have my seeds, compost and have bought a cold frame too. Anyone out there fancy giving me some local tips on how to do it with some success? My garden is north facing. :-(

That takes me back. My dad was a great believer in this - to the point that we'd travel back home from Scotland with bulging bags of seaweed strapped to the roof of our car, often leaking god knows what down the back window (including befuddled tiny crabs if I remember rightly). But yes - good stuff.
I'm not a veg person Ladybird but my only query would be about the north facing bit - that will limit you. Presume you get lots of sun at the far end (mine faces the same way) - could use that for your tomatoes etc? Let us know how you get on!
I know it’s a good nutrient as I used it in the production of my final year project at University. I designed and made a full scale prototype, a fully biodegradable coffin made from Tri-Wall corrugated board impregnated with Seaweed. There was only a small selection of cardboard coffins on the market fifteen years ago.
I kept it for a few years but hoped I wouldn’t be needing it anytime soon!
* Slightly off topic I know, but don’t beat me : )
