Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Ora Cafe continues to cause a statutory noise nuisance to their neighbours.

Hi All,

I would like to congratulate the licensing officer who granted a license for this first floor bar/night club premises which is surrounded with residential neighbourhoods.

I was thinking there must be something special with this place otherwise there is no way that they could get this doggy place licensed.

We are still very concerned about the location of the premises and the existing history of the noise nuisance. The site is not directly accessed from Green Lanes, but is at the far end of an access/service passage. The place is directly adjacent to and above many residential properties in Green Lanes and nearby homes in Allison Road.

My recent complaints include;
-The premises are no longer closing the shutters and windows after 11pm which causes additional noise.
-They don’t answer their phone anymore.
-Customers keep smoking and drinking outside the premises. My door step has been damaged by cigarette burns. I had to pay for two signs (do not smoke and please leave the premises quietly) from my own pocket and hanged them on the wall to avoid having further incidents as it’s getting very serious now.
-As there is no control over the business, they have been operating outside the business hours since August 2016.

I am now considering asking the Council for a formal Licence Review.

By the way, being a member of Labour for the last five years, I won’t vote for Labour this year because of this issue.

The Labour Council in Harringay is basically run by the friends of places like this.

It's more corrupt than a middle-eastern bazaar.
