Back in April '24 University College London (UCL) announced that the "ucl press exceeds ten million global downloads".
I'm curious about the impacts of free downloadable Open Access ebooks. Did this signal the beginning of the ending of bookshops? Would it harm public libraries? Anyone got fresh thoughts on these changes?
