Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!


Voted Britain's favourite flower, we have 50% of the world's population of bluebells in the UK. But a note of alarm has been raised that Spanish bluebells are escaping our gardens and threatening our native species through hybridisation.

The National History Museum is running an online survey to assess the current state of play.

This identification guide helps you decide if the 'bells in your garden are native, Spanish or hybrid.

Even though this year has seen bluebells open in February first the first time ever, mine haven't opened yet, but, sadly, I'm pretty sure that they're not native.
