From one extreme to another.. Michael & Peter in hippy year 1968 and in Skinhead year 1969
The trousers were white 'Jaytex' - Davis of Tottenham, the local mod, later skinhead outfitters supplied these. I too wore them, especially with red socks and 'Royal' shoes.

Peter's murder was a great loss. On the above link, it states he was a librarian. He was in fact a book restorer, the City of Westminster's chief restorer. He was sent to Venice in 1966 after the floods, to restore the city's most important book collection.
All that skill lost for a moment's hate.
