Hello - looking through previous posts there's quite a bit of info on Orange and Little Jewels nurseries, but I'd be interested to hear if anyone has experience of Noah's Ark in Wood Green?
I've followed the recent thread on the ofsted report for Orange Nursery, and not dismissed that either as people seem to have good experiences of it. But if they're trying to reduce numbers I doubt they'll be taking new ones on though I'll certainly check.
We have 2-year-old twins and live in Turnpike Lane. I also recently posted about finding a part-time nanny/childminder to cover the time they're not at nursery - any suggestions on this also appreciated!
We have experience of Noah's Ark and have been very, very happy with it. We also looked at Orange because it is near for us (really wasn't right for us, but I don't know anyone who sends their child there so can't comment on any real-life experiences) and I've heard good things about Little Jewels from friends.
Our son has been at Noah's Ark for nearly two years. So that I don't massively reveal all my personal information here, please do send me a connection request and I'm happy to give you a thorough review!
Noah's Ark very good, family owned business. Main drawback lack of outside space.
Excellent childminder: try Joanna Conway at Jelly Tot Lane on Westbury Avenue - highly recommended, 07951 913193
Thanks both, this is very helpful. RNM will send you a connection request (when I figure out how!) Thanks again.
Hi Bella - Both my sons attended Noah's Ark from 2006 - 2010 (the same family continue to run it) and I would highly recommend it. The manager is a lovely woman who has a solid staff team with low turnover, so there is much consistency and stability for the children. Both of my boys were very happy there and I never had any reason to doubt the quality of care they were given. Communication with parents was good and the fees were reasonable, particularly in comparison to Orange Day Nursery. As has already been mentioned the lack of outside space is not ideal, although there is a small concreted area where the children have supervised play. But the inside space is open plan with lots of room to move around, and I will always appreciate the great start to childcare they gave my boys.
