Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

They've been marketing this since autumn but I don't think it's going so well...

As someone who may be a landlord in the future (and who was a private tenant for 15 years) I like the idea of lower fees for tenants.  I hope the scheme takes off.

I had a meeting yesterday with our Homelessness Team and I mentioned this thread in passing; one person said that Landlords might be put off because they think they would get "palmed with social tenants" - their vernacular not mine
AiRent have launched today announcing 'a meet-up place for both tennants & landlords ... at no cost'. Major Real Estate companies saw their share price slide on the stock market this morning, with the National Association of Estate Agents calling on the government to stop this 'unfair competition'.

AiRent's share price climbed by 120% after the initial stock offering. Their income model is based on advertising and a low % fee to major landlords. Standard letting agreements will be made available to download from AiRent's website as will useful advice for both parties.

Ed Galls from Capital Ventures says he sees AiRent's move into the rental market as 'disruptive' & wouldn't be surprised to see AiRent's market value in the billions within a few years, as the 'model can be repeated through-out every city in the world'.

Now that's one of those things you just wish you'd thought of first.

Matt can you provide a link to AiRent please – I can't see anything about them.
