New Local Youth Citizen Journalism Project

www.dandelionproject.org is a brand new online magazine put together by young citizens in Haringey. Those involved are eager for new contributors and feedback.  

The Dandelion Young Citizens Journalism Project was launched in the wake of the riots to help young citizens find solutions to the challenges of being young, in the city, and in many cases struggling in the current economic and social climate. 

All articles are written by young people – mainly 14 to 24 with a link to Haringey.  All content and design decisions have been – and will be - jointly made.

The aim is to give young people of the Borough:

• a voice to raise and discuss issues and topics relating to London living
• ‘good press’
• practical help by linking with support agencies and community groups, and an underpinning of the national ‘Citizenship’ curriculum

The Dandelion Project Editorial Team meets on Thursdays from 4.00 – 6.30 at Kori Arts Hub, Milton Road in Harringay - West Green - Wood Green borders.  They very much welcome online submissions or story leads and definitely online dialogue arising from the articles as they appear.
