Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
New Japanese shop?
Driving along Priory Road today, I saw a new shop has opened where Fuji Foods used to be. It had a vaguely similar look but I didn't have time to check it out properly. Is it another Japanese shop, does anyone know?
Also, lots of fitting-out going on in the Vietnamese place on GL - maybe open soon?

I got sushi from the Japanese shop which replaced Fuji Foods today and very sadly was massively disappointed. It was expensive for what it was and not nearly as fresh as Fuji was but perhaps the bar was set pretty high with Fuji.

I hadn't seen this thread and only just noticed the new shop, Kimura, the other day when passing on the W3. Today I went and bought some sushi for lunch and agree that, while not awful, it is not a patch on the late, great Fuji Foods. To be honest you know immediately without even tasting: the raw fish is all kept hidden away instead of at front of stage in the main chiller where customers could easily assess the quality and see what they had in interesting on any given day. The choice on the nigiri menu is very conservative, to put it kindly. The rice is no good.
