The area around the Turnpike Lane end of West Green Road might end up being renamed Little Italy if this craze continues...
Bang opposite the incredibly successful and incredibly delicious Passione e Tradizione restaurant, on the corner of Stanmore Road (where the Hanimeli cafe used to be) reopened today as L'Oasi dei Sapori (which means oasis of flavour I think)...
Anyhow it looks like it's gonna be an authentic Sardinian deli selling good coffee, meats, cheeses and dishes to eat in or take away... apparently they will be getting a booze license in the future...
I've not been in yet but it looks pretty good from the outside and was pretty busy for it's opening celebrations...

Hopefully Hugh will pop along and find out all the gossip in his own inimitable way - I'm going to check it out tomorrow but yet another good quality addition to the West Green Road revival.

I remember there being one in about 1998 when I moved into the area, gone not much long after.
There used to be one on Grand Parade which I greatly missed when it closed down.
Just popped in, looks great and some tasty items on the menu. recommend a visit :)
Outstanding news, great to have a real deli nearby. The offy full of Italian stuff on GL sells some decent things but definitely is not a deli.
I hope they do porchetta.
