New grant for young people interested in London archaeology

The City of London Archaeological Trust (CoLAT) has announced the launch of a new grant for young people interested in London archaeology.

The purpose of the grants is to broaden awareness of and interest in archaeology and local studies amongst young people (Year 11 – Year 12). They are awarding grants of £250 plus funding of direct costs up to £150 for projects which seek to understand and share knowledge of London through archaeology.

The format can be written, spoken or digital dissemination. Projects are expected to involve 30-40 hours of field and/or documentary research, including writing up/recording. Project proposals can come from individuals or from groups.

Applications need to be submitted between 1 September and the end of the October half term 2023.
