Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Has anyone had a document certified locally, for example by a solicitor?

If so, would you recommend, and how much would it cost?

I haven't had one certified recently but back in the days that I did translation work (up until 7 years ago), I often took copies to solicitors to certify as a true copy of the original or have them witness my signature. It cost me from £5 to £15 depending on the number of documents and where in London the solicitors were located.

Hope this helps.

I had a hard time finding a solicitor to witness some documents for me during lockdown. I eventually went into that Ersan place opposite the Salisbury. They did it. They charged a premium as its not their core business but if you just need someone to certify a document as a true copy it shouldn't be too steep.

Got me £10 every time I've had it done - last time Jan.

There's a couple of solicitors on Wilberforce Rd who  do it.

I used Acculegal Solicitors on Green Lanes recently: Grand Parade, 61 Green Lanes, Harringay Ladder, London N4 1AF. £10 a document. Very efficient.

Many thanks Alligator, Ozbawn, adamvietnam & Charlie!

We ended up at CC Law, 21 Grand Parade, who certified two documents for £30.
