Am I dreaming? Or have national political leaders been logging-on to HoL discussions on Libertarian Socialism and Solidarity magazine? There's David Cameron announcing his conversion to Alinsky organising. And Tessa Jowell espousing Mutual Aid.
What next? Theresa May the Situationist? Peter Mandelson reading out selections from News from Nowhere at a press conference? Should I hunt in the attic for my yellowing copies of Kropotkin?
What does it all mean? Aside perhaps from an attempt to say something that sounds new and radical to win a few more votes?

The Tories proposed '5000 community army' funded from a pot of money that already exists for voluntary organisations sounds not just like an ill thought through idea but a rather naive and worrying proposal. The volunteers and organisations already exist. What they all need is extra funding. The so called '5000 tory army' will take funding away.
Labour's 'mutual manifesto' is a joke as not enough people have the desire, time or expertise to run services their taxes are already paying for. Mine you, the budget cutting post election may mean you have little services left. Fancy a little mutual pothole filling dear neighbours ....
