Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi,
I'm moving to Raleigh Road shortly after Easter and was wondering if anybody could help me in the short term with getting hold of a few daily parking permits for the Wood Green Outer zone?
I've got builders in to do some damp proofing work, and would rather not have their vans towed away if I can possibly help it

How many hours worth do you need?
Hoping for 5 or 6 days worth to be honest, and possibly more - happy to reimburse in kind once I've got my own
Thanks
Hi David. If you have some proof of your new address and a quote from your builder on headed paper (plus his car details) you can go to the parking office in Wood Green and get a permit for the number of days you need. I think they cost £5 a day. Visitor's permits are cheaper but residents are only allowed 60 per quarter and you need 4 or 5 per day. You can also get a weekly permit for visitors who might come to stay - they're cheaper than builder's permits too. I've used those for builders (don't tell Haringey). From memory, you need the car registration for those and you're entitled to 2 weekly permits per year.
Thanks cookingmama,

Unfortunately I won't be able to get proof of address quickly enough, as we're completing the purchase on teh Tuesday and the builders are booked in to start on the wednesday.

I'd be happy to swap green lanes zone a, or pay cash (£2 a day i think is the current rate for a day permit, but would have to check) although I suspect that the council might disapprove.

I'd prefer to think of it as a temporary loan of permits until I can get some of my own, and reimburse in kind.
