Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi, we've just found a beautiful house in Noel Park I absolutely love - but I have just been so spooked reading the crime stats.

Can anyone share their experiences living in the area, and how they have found it? We are first-time buyers in our early 30's.

Do you feel safe? Has it got better? Have you had issues?

I think reading the crime stats and news can paint a very negative picture and I completely understand that some areas of London are much more gritty than others - I just want to hear feedback from those in Noel Park currently and see what the general feel is :)

Thanks!

Well, I have have lived here since 2005, just off Bury Road and not far from the high road.  Lovely neighbours.  I don't see much in the way of crime, although I have seen some pretty bizarre things in my time here.

The fly tipping can be pretty awful and gets us down and Thames Water could do with sorting out the pipes as burst pipes are not uncommon in my parts.

But definitely more pros than cons.

Loads of pros. See them on the corners at night. Some guys like to pay. Lots of cons to in the pub to were you get the weed

I remember driving through NP years before I moved to the Ladder. I remember really liking the housing stock (and still do.) On an only partially-related point - I think it is a conservation area which is a massive plus. How I wish the same were true for the Ladder...

Check this thread, my post is the last one, I live in Noel Park.
