So after recommendations from here, I now get my fresh bottles of milk delivered which is brilliant
can I just ask for those who do it, how easy is it to cancel a delivery if going away, or if need extra milk, etc
its tricky as I don’t always use the same amount of milk everyweek , and wondering how others manage it
Do you just email Sam?

Easy. Just email Sam. He's pretty responsive. As to varying quantities, you just need to find a way of getting a good balance. I can't imagine that any milkman would be happy to get constantly changing orders from his delivery customers.
If we have extra, I drink it. If I run out, I pop down to Tesco (and coincidentally, remind myself why I get milk delivered).
Agree Sam is responsive - did you realise can also have bread milk and eggs delivered and cheese!
Yes I saw that, do you just message him if you want them
Yes! Its sitting on the step with the milk - sometimes dustbin is added for extra protection!
Samis on WhatsApp, and is very diligent in responding to cancellations etc. As for varyng quantities, I keep a few plastic milk.bottles, well rinsed, and when it looks like I will have an excess, I decant from the glass bottles and put them in the freezer. (I wouldn’t recommend freezing the glas bottles). If I’m running low or need extra fir cooking, I just defrost one or two. Milk freezes well, no problems. If I end up with too many in the freezer, then I will cancel a whole day’s delivery, or arrange to use up some next to a period when I’m going away anyway. That way, I never have to vary my order with Sam.
Good tip. Sounds like a better solution than mine!
That’s really good idea about freezing in plastic bottles, if extra, thanks for that
I have B and B guests staying all the time and never know how much milk they’ll drink. I often change my orders with Sam by text the day before. He’s always very accommodating. I love having milk delivered and pleased we’re able to get organic from him. Highly recommended!!
