More good news for Grainger: Grainger, the UK's largest listed residential property owner and manager, today welcomes Government's announcement to support the Build-To-Rent sector following years of lobbying. What will 'support' turn out to be?
This is the group that has been given £2m of public money by LBH and its subsidiaries as they would not have made enough profit from demolishing Wards Corner without it. This is your money, people.
Grainger has over £3.0bn of residential assets under management across the UK and Germany. Grainger invests in, trades and rents residential property across the UK and Germany. [Note that they are not, so far, a developer, except on the one site at Hornsey Baths, and that one was a listed building so they could not just smash it up. Their portfolio is made up largely of private individual houses that it buys up and then lets or sells on - many of them acquired via equity-release schemes.]

Voting, in Haringey, has given us 42 years of Labour in power and they feel unassailable. It's the majority Labour group (with a few honourable exceptions) which has tied itself into cahoots with Grainger and is pushing and pushing for the demolition plan, refusing to meet with the WCC which has a viable plan that would take just two years to complete. If we had been given that two million pounds (not that we are asking for it) our plan would be well under way by now.
The Condem coalition is going to wipe out social housing - they have three years to go on demolishing everything they despise ie the notion of a society that is interdependent.
