Anyone seen a black & white male cat at the lower end of Rathcoole Gardens, odd number side backing onto Cranford Way? Now missing for 2 weeks, after several short holidays . Quite timid with people & other male cats...please check backs of your gardens, sheds etc...& let us know if possible.
Fairly young & healthy so just hope someone is feeding & watering him...Thanks Denise!

Will keep a lookout, hope you find him soon. It will help us lookout for him if you can attach a good close up photo.
Is he microchipped and neutered? If he is microchipped, remember to call the microchip company, tell them he is lost and check that they have your correct contact details.
It often helps to empty some contents of your hoover outside your home (or put out something which has his scent) as he will recognise scent even if quite far away. Flyers are useful, including roads with gardens backing on to your garden.
It's also a good idea to put details of a lost pet (with a photo) on www.animalsearchuk.co.uk
You probably do this anyway, so this is just general advice to other cat owners out there - it's a good idea to lock the catflap at night so that cats are safe inside at night as it reduces the risk of them getting lost or injured.
I wasn't sure whether to post this as given the location it seems massively unlikely to be the same cat. The markings aren't right for the other N22 missing cat either.
I just wanted to flag up that while out running in Downhills Park last night I saw a black and white cat sitting under a bench in the flower garden area. It looked quite defensive and hissed at me when I went to approach it.
The cat was mostly black, thin and I think male - with bright white (big) front paws (didn't notice back ones) and bib, short haired but slightly shaggy, round-headed and I think quite young.
It looked out of place, so may be lost, or maybe just a local cat that hangs around in the park - someone more local might have more info. I've never seen it before but I'm only in there a few times a week. If I see it again I'll try and get a picture.
Thank You,I think he's unlikely to be that far away...he only goes out the back gardens so is probably on the odd numbers side of Rathcoole, or Uplands Road even numbers side.
Hi Sarah. Well done for flagging it up. If you see it again, try to get a good close up photo of its face and start a new post and see if anyone recognises it. It could be a lost cat.
If you find a pet, you can also put details on www.animalsearchuk.co.uk
Denise, have you got a photo of your cat. A young black and white cat as appeared at our house today. Alison
He is an outdoor cat & I'm sorry to say no photo,we had a call from a nearby neighbour this morning so will speak to her later....he's probably around 5 & quite fit & healthy,a stray originally.
Okay, I think this one is older than 5 and seems to be holding his own with the 4 toms we have around here. Hope the call is good news.
Hi Alison. Just to mention if you have any stray cats in your area, if anyone can help them and get them neutered, great, otherwise disease is spread by male unneutered tom cats fighting and we also need to prevent pregnancies in cats in the neighbourhood. Animal Rescue places like the Mayhew can advise and help and there's often free or low cost neutering available at many places.
