Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Our much loved cat Merlin has been missing since Sunday night. We live at the Wightman Road end of Seymour Road where he tends to wander through the back gardens between Seymour and Warham Road, and sometimes out onto Seymour Road. He stays out most nights but always returns to the house by 9.30am. I am hoping/ful that he will come back, but my son is very upset so asked me to post here. I've attached some pics; he is ginger & white, nearly 3 years old, quite large, long-haired and very friendly. If you have seen him, please would you get in touch. Thank you, Sandi.

What a gorgeous looking cat! Tell your soon we are all looking out for Merlin and because hes so distinctive he will be much easier for us all to spot.

Thank you Sally. Because of his looks, I'm hoping someone might spot him.

There's a big gang of cats that like to hang out in the gardens of Seymour/Hewitt - that's where mine goes when he escapes. I'll have a look from our 1st floor windows and as I pass the river path.

What a lovely cat! He looks like one of my cats. I'll keep a lookout and tell my neighbours.

Thank you, all of you; we're really grateful for your help. He does visit our friends and neighbours along Seymour, and in the gardens that back onto us in Wareham, makes himself at home, gets stroked etc. I even suspect he's got his own hairdresser as some days he's wandered in with fur groomed! But he's always come home. Anyway, fingers xssed...

Have u read anette's tips on other H O L lost cat posts about what to do when cats go Awol? They may be useful.

Have you got a link for that Sally please. Thank you. Still no sign of him...

Thank you. We've had Merlin from kitten so he knows the area well. Planning to leaflet and do door to door. Can only hope he's stayed within a few roads of Seymour.

Hi Sandi, do the leafleting, also ring doorbells and talk to people. Go back to the houses where there's no answer. When I lost my cat (on Seymour), he was gone for 6 weeks, and was being fed by someone who 1. had a poster of him pretty much outside her front door, and 2. had also had a leaflet through her letterbox. Did not tweak.. so please talk to people. Someone might have taken him in thinking he's homeless (yes, I know, some people don't think!), you should also ask people if they've noticed their neighbout getting a cat all of a sudden. Mine was some 20 houses up the road, he must have been hunting and gotten lost. It's easily done, and odds are he's nearby. You'll find him, I'm sure. Good luck!!

Thanks for this Anette. Will be postering, leafleting and door to doors on Seymour and Warham this week. He lost his collar shortly before going awol so easy for someone to think he's a stray I guess.

Any news on Merlin?
