Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi everyone

I've posted before about my missing/wandering cat. I have decided that as he goes missing so frequently and for so long (up to a week) before he returns that there must be someone out there feeding him.

If anyone sees him or knows if anyone feeds any local strays could you let me know.  I'm still worried for him and just want to know that he is ok.

If he chooses not to be with us thats fine but it is hard not knowing.

Thanks

Hi Billy,

Sometimes we get a tabby cat looking very like yours hanging around our garden. He seems friendly, if a bit shy, and well looked after. I wonder if he's yours.

Where is it you live ?

We are in the bottom section of Beresford rd with our garden is backing onto Alison Rd.

He is approachable but if not handled correctly he will bite and snarl.

If you get a clear view of him could you call me on 07774 987 591 (stuart ) thanks

We are still hoping that our long haired tabby boy will come home soon. Please let me know if anyone has spotted him. It's now over a week. Thanks

Hi JustBilly,

The tabby who visits us is a shorthair. We're near the top of Seymour Road. I will keep an eye out for your longhaired boy though. I hope he comes back soon.

Hi julia ,

I am the husband of AKA just billy ,thank you for your concern. He has been missing for 9 days now, so if anybody reading this message on the ladder, please can you check your sheds and gardens. My number is on an above message . Thank you

Julia, that might well be my cat, Lily. I'm on Seymour just up from the passage, backing on to Hewitt. She went missing up your way about a month ago, but was found up a tree on the top if Seymour after a week. She might well be venturing back up that way. She's got a silver collar, and very distinctive black tabby markings. And is not missing anymore, thank god!

JustBilly, it's so hard not knowing where they are, I know.. Does your cat have a collar? If not, when he comes back, maybe get him one of those collars that say "please do not feed me" in large letters on them? That should get the point across if he's found a second home. Maybe also make up flyers and stick through the letterboxes up and down your road as well as the one you back on to and ask if anyone's seen the cat as well as letting people know he has got a good home, and if he is being taken in somewhere, can they please let you know.

Good luck, will keep my eyes peeled.

Thank you for your advice and kind words. I've not seen those collars do you know where you can get them?

They're eazy to get, Amazon do them: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ancol-Cat-Collar-Bell-Feed/dp/B00366WNWI/re...

or petvetcare: http://www.petvetcare.co.uk/acatalog/Cat_Collars_and_Tags.html

there's loads of others too. Get one for when he comes back, hopefully that'll help. He will be back. :)

We found our cat yesterday 19 days after going missing.

He is skinny now , but seems healthy enough.

Thank you anybody who was looking out for him.

(UNTIL THE NEXT TIME )  !!!!

That's great news! So he's not been fed by anyone then? How about keeping him in for a week or two? I did that with my cat, and she's not gone missing again (yet..).

Could he have been locked in somewhere? How did you find him? Did he just come home?

You must be so relieved!!!!!

Thanks Anette
We found him in a garden of a friend across the road. I think he was trying to get home but couldn't fathom how to get around the ladder roads. As the crow flies he was no more than 50 yards away.
I think he was frightened by foxes as he had been bitten only a couple of weeks prior and was not going out often ,we went on holiday and our cat feeders told us he was missing.
He will be grounded next holiday !
:) Happy ending!
