Our cat has gone missing and been gone for almost a week now. He usually does not go outside if he can help it so we are a bit worried. He is black, we are on Roslyn Road so he may be on Roslyn, Seaford, Avenue or gone further and got lost. He has a red collar (if still in tact). His name is John and he is quite old and has a strangs miaoow. He is quite nervous but friendly and we would love to know where he has got too and if he is ok!
Thanks for any help.

Did you find your cat? If not, please show a photo. There's been a black cat around the gardens in Duckett Road and Cavendish Road since March. No collar. He has a strange miaow.
I've noticed that this cat is new to the area too and i wondered where it comes from. I wondered if it was a roaming tom cat...
Yes it might well be. It's had some bad fights with 2 of my male cats and I had to take them to the vets. The black cat makes a loud high pitched cry. He must be hungry because he's been going through a friend's cat flap raiding for food. I haven't been able to get near him because once I split up the cat fight, he runs away. Would like to catch him to get him checked out at vets.
yes i tried to befriend him when he was in my garden but he really wasn't interested... thats a shame to hear he's hungry. if i see him again i will try to see if he's neutered - because if not he may well be a stray tom...
Thanks, let me know. He probably is a stray tom who is very hungry, needs neutering and a good home. I can't give him a home because I've already got 6 rescue cats! I'd be happy to pay to get him neutered and hopefully a home can be found for him.
That black cat was in my garden again early this morning. Poor thing was looking for food in the garden, eating bits on the ground, which can only be bird food as there's no cat food! I can't feed it as it fights with my male cats, but wish I could have.
