Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi.  It looks as though we may have to do some work on our drainage pipes as there may be water that should be going to the local sewage works, that is going to the wrong drain.  Has anyone else had any experience of this?  We are quite worried as we have no idea how big this job is to do.  Or any recommendations of plumbers who can do this job?

HI Richard

Try  John Shields Utilities on 07899820589 may be he can help.

Thanks very much

Richard

Hello Richard, yes we have a similiar problem. Thames Water identified that water from our bathroom is going into the rainwater drain instead of sewage. This requires the pipework to be rerouted; not a big job at all, something that a plumber can do. We have a friend who will do this for us in October. Let me know if you'd like him to take a look at yours. Hope this helps.

Thanks, yes that would be helpful.  But I think it might be  a bit more major in our case as we have a paved over bit where the drains are, presumably, wrongly connected.  Actually, let us talk to the council first, as a friend reckons they may have records of our drainage system.

May get in touch later

Richard

How did you get on, did you use John Shields in the end?

Sorry. Am not very good at replying to posts. We found that it is much simpler than we thought and the result of a builder misconnecting a drainage pipe but still waiting for him to come back to fix.
