Just seen this aricle
https://landlords.org.uk/news-campaigns/news/hmo-minimum-room-sizes...
All good but what about existing, social landlord properties where one room is way below the stated minimum?
Out of curiosity, just measured the second of my “bedrooms” and it is 5.61 square metres. Daughter is an adult so not under 10 for the event smaller allowance.
I of course pay the rent for a 2 bedroom flat. And mine can not be the only one among many really badly designed conversions.
Any thoughts on this?
Seems similar to when the soundproofing regulations came in force but again only for new conversions - leaving a lot of people in the older conversions excluded
