Hi,
Having been recommended it by my local CAMHS, I've been looking for a mindfulness course/group for my 15 yr old daughter to join. I particularly wanted to find one which is specifically designed for her age group- and that has turned out to be quite difficult to find. However, by chance I've discovered that Simon Heale from Core Health (in Weston Park crouch end- short walk over Hornsey rail bridge) is a qualified instructor for a specialised teenage mindfulness course called ' .be ' which is usually run in a school setting.
I've approached him about the possibility of running this course after school and am now posting to see if any other parents nearby who think their teen (any secondary school age) might be interested in participating.
Simon has said he'd need a minimum of 4 participants up to a maximum of 6, and the likely cost might be something between £80-120 each for the course.(which i think is over 8 or 9 sessions)
He would be happy to run an intro/ taster session for it if there are people interested, and has been very helpful and approachable with regard to my queries. To be clear, I am not an expert in the .be course, and i am not affiliated with Core Health or speaking on behalf of Simon. If you wanted to talk to him about this yourself he could be contacted via his website or email on info@corehealthsuite.com
It's just that having done a mindfulness course myself I think it's immensely helpful. I'm keen try and get a course together basically because of how beneficial i have found it personally, and the fact that i would really like my daughter to do it with children of similar age.
