Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Meet the Candidates Event at Fair Deal Supermarket 3-7 West Green Road, N15 5BX
On Tuesday 20th April 2010 from 5pm until 8pm all local councillor and parliamentary candidates for the electoral wards surrounding Wards Corner have been invited to meet local residents and workers.

This is an opportunity for everyone to informally discuss issues that affect them, with the people that have put themselves forward to represent our communities in the council chamber, parliament and beyond.

Fair Deal Supermarket is very happy to host our first event on the roof terrace . It can be accessed through the main shop entrance, up some stairs to the rear.

For a list of those who have accepted so far, please see the Fair Deal website

These wards will see reps present:
Seven Sisters; Tottenham Hale; Tottenham Green; St. Ann's; West Green; White Hart Lane
and the Tottenham parliamentary constituency.

NB This is not a formal hustings; there is a hustings for Tottenham on the 28th April 7pm at Chances, 399 High Rd N17 Confirmed so far for that are:
David Lammy (Labour), David Schmitz (Lib Dem), Jenny Sutton (TU & Socialist), Neville Watson (Independent) and Sean Sullivan (Conservative), and we are waiting on replies from Ann Gray (Green) and Winston Mckenzie (UKIP).

[All are welcome - sorry to hijack the HoL site but thought some of you western lot may be interested, plus of course your many readers from over this side.]

I thought when Jeremy posted this event it was set up by Fair Deal. You say "our first event". Out of interest, may I ask who the us in "our" are? Thanks Pamish.
Sorry I just did cut n paste from the Fair Deal website. 'Our' is Fair Deal, in association with Friends of Fair Deal, Federation of Small Businesses, Tottenham Traders Partnership and Pueblito Paisa. And I hadn't seen Jeremy's post, I should have known it would be there.

Looks like being an interesting event, a change from the more combative hustings.
Ok, thanks Pamish. Thought we'd found a new local democracy group or something....maybe we have - Fairdeal!
