Media work placement

Hi,

I am looking for a work placement in the media as part of my degree. Maybe someone could help me or know places I can find one? I am on my final year at London Metropolitan University.

I have never worked in the media before but have used JVC camera and made two 5 min long videos. I know how to use Final Cut Pro (not profi though :)), Photoshop (beginner). I have done some posters in Photoshop for my degree too. ( I can show some of my work if needed).

I am not interested in writing such as for magazines, newspapers or blogs. I am more practical and creative. So would be looking for a placement in production (filming on camera) or post-production (editing). Also I am quite interested in organizing and planning a page layout for magazine or newspaper.

Hope you get the idea and can help me with?? I am available to start as soon as possible and free almost all days apart from Monday or Tuesday.
