Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I'm a mother of a 13 month old girl. I'm from China and I'm keen on teaching my daughter my mother tongue. my husband is Australian although he can speak a bit of Mandarin, we mostly speak English at home. With no families and no Manderin speaking mum friends in London, it is really difficult to provide her with a Chinese speaking environment! Are there any chinese speaking mums locally that have the same idea? Maybe we can start a Manderin playgroup if we can get a couple of mums with young babies interested? I'd like our baby to hear the sound of Mandarin more often and through a fun way. I work part time and have Fridays off. Weekend playgroup is also possible. If you are interested please get in touch here! I will DM you my email address.

They have newsletters, maybe they have a noticeboard.

Thank you Martin! I will definitely check it out!

Hi CherieK, have you tried putting a notice out on the Harringay NCT mailing list, they have a large list of mums, they already have the spanish speaking mums group.

That's a good idea! I will try to contact them! Thank you!
Yes I will be interested if the class is suitable for 1-2yo. I will look it up! Thank you!

It's not in Harringay but my friend runs the Chopsticks Club.  Lots of Mandarin there.
